The Florida Native Plant Society is an organization that promotes the preservation, conservation, and restoration of the native plants and native plant communities of Florida. The Palmetto is the official magazine of the Society, is published quarterly, and includes articles on native plants, landscaping and invasive species.
The current issues features an article on rising sea levels written by UF professor of conservation biology, Jack Putz. The article describes the visible effects of salt water infusion from rising sea levels and over-pumping of the aquifer.
