October 13th Alachua County Solar Tour

The local SunPlugged Alachua Solar Tour, is being organized by the Suwannee-St. Johns Group Sierra Club, League of Women Voters of Gainesville/Alachua County, and LAMP. There are eight unique solar open houses happening around Alachua County, including sites with EVs and ground-mounted systems!

A family-friendly after party is taking place at Working Food from 4- 6 pm with refreshments and educational tabling, including We Are Neutral and the Electric Vehicle Club of Gainesville.

Solar United Neighbors helps people go solar, join together, and fight for their energy rights. It helps thousands of people go solar every year through bulk purchases known as “solar co-ops” as well as through a paid membership program. The first Alachua County Solar Co-op was the most successful in the state and helped over 80 homeowners go solar. The second Alachua County Solar Co-op is set to launch in November, interested homeowners can sign-up for Solar United Neighbors’ newsletter to be informed when it launches: solarunitedneighbors.org/stay-informed.
