SSJ’S NEW SOLAR PRESENTATION TO BE PRESENTED AT GENERAL MEETING JANUARY 5, 2017

Solar: Unlimited Energy for the Sunshine State, SSJ’s latest entry into free educational programs, is off to a rousing welcome by citizens interested in understanding the importance of renewal energy sources to the health of our economy, environment, and indeed, the entire planet. Presentations of this 30 minute, leader-led, PowerPoint presentation on solar energy as a clean and unlimited source of power for now and the future are now in full swing, with presentations being being scheduled well into 2017.

Solar: Unlimited Energy for the Sunshine State was developed by members of the same development team as the highly successful Water Works: Stand Up and Act Now! introduced in November of 2015. Feedback on Solar thus far has been excellent, with attendees saying how much they learned about how solar and fossil fuels (as energy sources) differ, how solar can help save money and the environment; the different types of solar systems, the importance of the recent votes on solar Amendments in Florida, and how to get started determining if a solar system is right for you.

This interactive program will be presented at the next Suwannee-St. John’s General Meeting on January 5. Plan to attend and bring anyone interested in a basic introduction to solar power in the state of Florida and its importance to our future.
