|Suwannee-St. Johns Sierra Club is excited to host our first virtual meeting. Are you interested in starting your own garden? Do you want to take a more holistic, thoughtful approach to your current practices? Join us June 4th at 6:30pm as we learn about holistic gardening and permaculture from Joe Pierce (Micanopy Joe) of Mosswood Farm Store and Bakehouse. Micanopy Joe will give us a live, virtual tour of his farm and will provide tips for gardening with the utmost care using permaculture and organic practices. What is permaculture you ask? Permaculture means “permanent agriculture” and is defined as working with natural forces, the wind, sun and water, to provide food, shelter, water and everything else your garden needs. It includes planning your space, and plant varieties to minimize impact to the environment and maximize plant health and yield. The meeting will be held online via Zoom. To reserve your place, sign up on EventBrite here. You will then receive the Zoom meeting instructions. See you then! Share this event on Facebook and Twitter. We hope you can make it!
